Equine portraiture is a rare specialty in the photography world. It takes a lot of knowledge and understanding of these amazing animals, combined with an advanced degree of technical proficiency, to capture horses in extraordinary moments. Photographer Laura Adams combines all of these gifts to produce equine fine art portraits that convey the beauty and personality of every equine she photographs. This pony is no exception: known to be the barn genius, and a bit of a trouble maker who uses his gifts for shenanigans rather than good - no one had ever been able to capture the more angelic side of this pony (though the owner knows it's there!). Laura photographed him in a snowy pasture during the golden hour, and was able to use the warm glow of the sun to create a gorgeous halo of back lighting - perfectly befitting of this handsome soul.
